Welcome to The Taco 5K™ website (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (thetaco5k.com) and participation in The Taco 5K™ events (collectively, the “Event”). By accessing our website or registering for the Event, you agree to these Terms.

1. ABOUT THE EVENT

The Taco 5K™ is a community event that combines food, fun, and fitness in a family-friendly walking experience.
Our website provides event details and directs visitors to Fever, our official ticketing partner, for registration and payment.

All ticket purchases, transfers, and refunds are handled exclusively through Fever’s platform and subject to Fever’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Participants of all ages are welcome. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. By participating, you represent that you are physically able to safely complete the walk and understand the risks involved in an outdoor community event.

3. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

Participation in the Event is voluntary and at your own risk. By attending, you acknowledge and accept that walking activities and food consumption involve inherent risks (including minor injuries, food allergies, weather exposure, or other unforeseen circumstances).

By registering or attending, you release The Taco 5K™, its organizers, partners, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or liability arising from your participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

4. WEATHER POLICY

The Taco 5K™ is a rain-or-shine event. In the event of extreme or unsafe weather conditions, organizers reserve the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the Event for safety reasons.

5. TICKETING & PAYMENTS

All ticket purchases, refunds, and exchanges are processed through Fever.
Please refer to Fever’s own Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy for details regarding payments or cancellations.

The Taco 5K™ does not process payments directly and is not responsible for any ticketing disputes managed by Fever.

6. EVENT CHANGES

We may adjust the route, timing, or participating taco shops at any time. Any major changes will be communicated via our website and email updates.

7. PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA

By attending the Event, you grant The Taco 5K™ the right to photograph, film, and record you during the Event and to use those images for promotional or marketing purposes without compensation.

If you prefer not to appear in photos, please notify a volunteer at check-in.

8. PROHIBITED BEHAVIOR

We want everyone to have fun! To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, participants must not:

  • Engage in disruptive, unsafe, or offensive behavior.

  • Harass or endanger others.

  • Bring illegal substances or weapons.

Organizers reserve the right to remove any participant who violates these policies without refund.

9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our website may contain links to third-party websites such as Fever or social media platforms. We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of those websites.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All logos, branding, graphics, and content on this site are the property of The Taco 5K™. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission.
