The first-ever Taco 5K in Encinitas is officially in the books, and we are still smiling about it. On Saturday, January 24, 2026, our community showed up for the world’s slowest 5K and turned it into a full-on taco fiesta. From the coastal vibes to the taco stops, to the silly challenges and photo moments along the route, it was exactly what we hoped it would be, fun, welcoming, and unforgettable.
This event wasn’t about speed. It was about friends, families, and groups of all kinds exploring Encinitas one taco at a time, then wrapping it all up with an amazing finish at Moonlight Beach. Thank you to everyone who walked, laughed, tagged us, and helped make this first event a success.
