The Taco 5K Tucson

Event Recap, Saturday, April 4, 2026

Tucson… you showed up in a BIG way.

The Taco 5K made its Arizona debut on Saturday, April 4, 2026, and it exceeded every expectation we had. What started as a simple idea—a taco-filled walk with friends—turned into a full-blown downtown fiesta with hundreds of smiling faces, great energy, and tacos around every corner.

From Catalina Park to the finish at MSA Annex, participants took their time (as they should ), enjoying every stop, every bite, and every moment along the way. This was never about speed—it was about the experience. And Tucson absolutely nailed it.

Tucson also delivered a few first-ever twists we didn’t see coming. Did you hear about the “maca-tacos” created by Le Macaron French Pastries just for the event? Total hit. Long lines formed as people couldn’t resist grabbing dessert between taco stops.

And a museum stop!? Where else can you stroll through a museum in the middle of a 5K? Only at The Taco 5K.

We saw families, friend groups, date days, costumes, and more than a few competitive taco-eaters out there. Add in games, music, and that perfect Tucson sunshine, and it made for a day we won’t forget.

A special thank you to Blanca and Churros Inzunza for treating everyone to incredible churros and horchata at the finish line—an absolute crowd favorite.
