The Taco 5K is not your typical 5K. It is a relaxed walking adventure through Carlsbad Village, built around local tacos, community, and a whole lot of fun.

Gather your friends, family, coworkers, or taco-loving teammates and make your way through a scenic route featuring five local taco stops. Along the way, you’ll find games, music, photo opportunities, surprise challenges, and plenty of reasons to slow down and enjoy the experience.

There are no timing chips and no pressure to race. Walk at your own pace, eat a taco at every stop, and fiesta your way to the finish.

  • Approximately 1.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on your walking pace and the amount of time you spend at each taco stop.

  • All ages are welcome. Children must also have a ticket.

    *The event takes place primarily on public sidewalks. Much of the route is wheelchair accessible, although certain areas may contain slopes or uneven surfaces.
